The Following 1x4 “Mad Love” Recapet

Primetime’s stabbiest threesome gets even more psychotic this week, as Jacob reveals he’s never killed anyone and Emma and Paul bond over how they’re both in love with a timid virgin. Maggie kidnaps Ryan’s sister and tries to kill him with batteries. It’s a surprisingly bloodless murder attempt for this show. There must be a Karo Syrup shortage on set.

The Following
The pilot of this serial killer show has some great twists and turns, and we’re excited to see how it unfolds and how many other people can get degrees closer to Kevin Bacon because of it. And it’s exponentially more compelling than the similarly themed (sort of) CW show Cult, so if you tune in to only one series this midseason about crazy legions that follow psychopathic murderers, make it this one.
