Child Doppelganger: Molly Quinn
Quinn has portrayed Alexis, Castle’s daughter, for the past five years. Alexis is a fiercely independent straight-A student and her high school’s valedictorian, so Quinn has definitely had practice playing the kind of level-headed, no-nonsense character that Miranda embodied. Alexis’s interactions with Castle over the years have also proven that Quinn can handle lovey-dovey family stuff, just like Miranda’s sweet scenes with her son Brady. Plus, that hair.
We vote for Molly Quinn to make an appearance as young Miranda on the Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries. See our other dream cast members.
Like most teenagers (FART), Young Carrie Bradshaw knows exactly what she wants to do with her life. Yes, that was a sarcastic fart.

The Carrie Diaries
Debuts: January 14 at 9 PM on The CW
What Is It? A prequel of sorts of Sex and the City, based on the tween novels written by Candace Bushnell. They follow a young Carrie as she deals with high school and growing up in the ’80s.
Should You Watch? The pilot, starring AnnaSophia Robb, was oddly charming. And it looks like it will adequately fill the Gossip Girl void.

4. The Carrie Diaries
We were charmed by this Sex and the City prequel as the pilot alone is already about a million times better than The CW’s Emily Owens, Meryl’s Daughter. It’s full of ’80s teen angst and fashion, like a higher end Jane by Design. Plus, we can’t wait to see slutty young Samantha.
Serious question: Was anyone in the world pro-Aleksandr? Like, ever?
