Alicia Florrick (The Good Wife)This woman is fiercely protective of her children, so much so that she’ll put herself in the line of political fire to protect them at all costs. And God forbid someone dares try to use them for any scheme, she’ll take anyone down in a court of law. Also, you don’t have to worry if you are looking at porn or searching for other sex facts on the internet, she’s so tech inept that if you lie and say you didn’t do it, she’ll absolutely believe you.

Best: Doctor, Doctor Was the mini-ER reunion with Julianna Margulies and Noah Wyle only two minutes long? Yes. Did anyone acknowledge it on screen? No. Did we totally freak out and think back to the good times at County General? Oh yeah.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, and I doubt I’ll have much occasion to say it in future, but that little smile Grace gives herself, walking away from the scorching sexual disaster that is Team Edward, made me love her more than anybody on this show. Just for a second.

I love how they cast Maura Tierney in this role, because like, I have wanted Maura Tierney to be my best friend since I was a teenager. She always seems so with-it. Even on ER when she played like a feral drunk or whatever it was, I still wanted her advice about things. She’s like this ultimate Big Sister that could teach Diane about makeup and tampons and bulimia and shit like that, but she’s too busy (So Very Busy!) with her boyfriends and after-school job and driver’s license-having to even consider the fact that you, like, exist.

Q: “Okay, why do you stay with him? Why not get a divorce? Plenty of wronged women throw their shoes over the wall eventually.”
A: “I don’t feel like it, Kristin Chenoweth!”
Q: “Isn’t that setting a bad example to women everywhere, to be such a doormat?”
Eli: “Kristin Chenoweth! Jesus God!”
Q: “New viewers need to be caught up, Eli. These are the questions asked by everybody who doesn’t watch the show.”

Bitcoin We didn’t care about Jason Biggs inventing, or co-inventing some form of virtual currency. What we did care about was seeing Kalinda work her magical charm on computer nerds in order to find out who was responsible for the product. It was Kalinda doing what Kalinda does best.

Elsbeth’s Magical Powers
Later in the season, Elsbeth defended Will, which was great, but if we have to pick her most shining moment, it was watching the quirky redheaded lawyer effortlessly put a Treasury official under her magical spell with the power of a beautiful cupcake. She’s fast-talking, quirky and knows her opponents weaknesses. We’d absolutely make sure her parking got validated.
