He’s like Arya’s twisted Fairy Godmother, granting her three wishes of people she’d like dead in return for saving his life and two others. It’s screwed up, but comes from a sort of good place. And he not only helped her out of King’s Landing, but also out of Harrenhal, even though she told him to kill himself.
