Goon
Thanks anyway, Kevin Smith, but we really don’t need Hit Somebody anymore. This low-budget Canadian charmer starring Seann William Scott and co-written by Jay Baruchel already gave us everything we could possibly want from a hockey comedy: big laughs, funny characters (particularly Liev Schreiber as a veteran goon) and rousing, bloody on-ice brawls that feel more like Rocky than Slap Shot. Now, who do we have to beat up to get Goon 2 into production?
(Currently available on DVD and Netflix Instant)
